What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a system of healthcare that doesn’t focus on symptoms but looks to treat the underlying problem within the body. This involves working with all the joints and structures of the muscolo-skeletal system, not just the spine.
Osteopaths use a wide range of techniques to assist the body in repairing itself and so resolve the symptoms.
Osteopathy is safe for use with all age groups from newborn to old age and with mothers during pregnancy.
The British Medical Association guidance for GPs state that doctors can safely refer osteopaths.

What happens in a Consultation?
The first consultation lasts around 45 minutes during which a detailed case history will be taken to gain as much insight as possible into your problem.
David will ask about occupation, regular activities, medical history, prescription drugs etc, and also ask you
to perform simple movements to assess your posture and locate the problem.
David will then discuss diagnosis, treatment options and prognosis for recovery.
