Acupuncture is a part of Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Tuina (Chinese Massage), Dietary therapy and exercise. Using these disciplines together or separately allows the Chinese Medicine practitioner to provide an individualised treatment that is appropriate for each patient.
Acupuncture may provide short term relief from:-
Tension type headaches
Chronic low back pain
Neck pain/chronic neck pain
Temporomandibular (TMD/TMJ) pain
Temporary adjunctive treatment for osteoarthritis knee pain.
What a session involves:-
After a full consultation and diagnosis, a treatment will be carried out involving the most appropriate methods. For example, a musculo-skeletal problem will combine acupuncture and massage and a skin problem herbs and dietary advice. The number of treatments required will depend on the severity and nature of the condition.
